FDTD studio is a fully functional one dimensional Finite Difference Time Domain solver (FDTD solver) to simulate light wave propagation in various structures.

Unlike ray optics, this app treats light as wave which makes it possible to simulate devices based on wave interference such as distributed Bragg reflectors, anti-reflection coatings and many more.

The electromagnetic wave source in the app can be tuned to any desired frequency and wavelength range from ultra-violet to visible and far-infrared.
